New (old) too the forum

Hi all, I've been a member for several years but this my 1st post. I'm an old time film guy. Bought my 1st Pentax back in 1973 or so. Migrated from a Yashica Electo 35 to the Pentax KX. Later added the ME Super and PZ-1p. I also have an eclectic collection of lenses, including the Vivitar Series 1 90-180 flat field lens, Sigma Pantel 135mm f/2.8 Pantel, both purchased new in the 1970s.

While I have delved into digital photography, I still prefer film and manual control cameras. Call me old school. However, with the decline of photoshops and film processing labs, I just might be forced to the digital era. I'm hoping to share experiences and gain knowledge from the forum.

I believe there are several of us here that shoot both. They are talking of closing the lab I use here... So I am in the process of learning to develop my own film.

Welcome to the forum, it's not all bad, I took "the leap of faith" to digital a few years back and I have no regrets.

The bonus for me is, I can still shoot the odd roll of film when I want to.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered a K-30 w/18-55 kit. It will be a learning experience.
