Hi! My name is Matt!

I started using K-5 I starting last year and I am just loving it except for the slow focusing time when it's dark....

Other than that every time I use it I get a sense that Pentax really put a lot of effort putting this small camera together.

Welcome to the forum, Matt.

The K-5 II is much better w.r.t. focusing in low light, but for most of the time, your K-5 is just as great.

I'm glad that Pentax is still around offering such great little cameras and hope the brand will grow in the future.

Yea, I have heard that K-5 II is a lot better under low light but I rarely take photos when it's that dark so I think I will stick to k-5 for now

Welcome to the forum, low light focussing is always difficult, have you tried yourself to manual focus in these conditions, you'll then see why cameras struggle.
