Hello From UK

Hello, I'm a mum of 3 and love taking photos using my Pentax gear. Have been taking photos for years, can't be without my camera . I particularly enjoy taking landscapes and seascapes. Hope to share photos with others.

Glad to be here.

Amanda.

Welcome to the forum Amanda.

I have 4 kids, and they all run and hide when they see the camera come out...

What sort of Pentax gear are you using?

My partner and her daughter both do the same. I must train them by taking photos 24x7.

Thank you all for the welcome.

Our 2 girls, 8 and 9, love posing for the camera and our 10 year old son is showing a great interest in photography.

At the beginning of April our 2 girls are going to be bridesmaids at my sister's wedding and I've been asked to do the photos. Yes, I'm a little nervous as have never done anything like this before - any pointers anyone.

I have a K10D, Sigma 10-20 lens, Pentax 16-50 lens, Sigma 70-300 Apo lens and a Sigma flash.

Amanda.

Hi and welcome Pentaxlady. Good luck with the wedding photos. Do you mind me asking where the wedding will be? My brother got married in Winsley and it was gorgeous. I think it was at a house that was in one of the Jane Ayre movies the BBC did and for the life of me, I can't remember the name of the place.

MacGirl, sounds like your brother got married in a lovely place. The wedding will be held in a small village church - Chobham, Surrey, not too far from Guildford. If only I had that 50-135 lens - the ideal lens for this.

Oh yeah, that 50-135 would be perfect! I've been to Guildford too but I'm not familiar with the area to know what the village churches are like. It's not hard to find a good place to take nice photos in England though, just hard to get a nice day with blue skies. ; )
