After many years with a pretty good point-and-shoot I realized I was missing photo opportunities because my camera could not shoot the pictures I was seeing in my mind. Being a wilderness traveler and dedicated lightweight hiker, the K-01 struck me as a sensible step up - yet it has about 80% of the capability of a higher-end DSLR. So far so good. I am impressed with the functionality and image quality. And shooting in RAW is opening up a whole new world for me.

Yep, the K-01 has a high-end sensor and great functionality. The best part is how compact it is and that you can still switch lenses to get exactly the shots you want

Feel free to post some photos in the photo sharing forum after you get the hang of processing
