Another Canadian Pentax User

I'm a new pentax user and I just had acquired a used K100D (6mp only but looks like there are good reviews on this camera) on a whim to just try it out for myself. I am currently a Sony Alpha (a230/a37) user and active on the dyxum forums.
I've been lurking around here before and I can say this is the best resource centre for anything Pentax. I'm hoping to learn more about Pentax cameras and hopefully post a few pictures here in the forum.

I loved my k100D, I still have shots taken with it. I traded it in on a K-x only a couple years ago. Eventually I wanted to start selling prints so I wanted larger file sizes.

Welcome to the forums! The K100D is a excellent little camera. I still have mine and the images have a wonderful quality that the newer cameras are unable to match. It has a CCD sensor just like the Pentax 645D. The pixels are large, fat and have a low noise quality. The color is wonderful, and do not be deceived by the 6MP, the resolution is excellent.

Quite a few of my best images were taken with it. Yes, it does not have the resolution and a few years ago, resolution was everything. However, there are other qualities that are just important, that it offers.
