Hello, folks!

My name is Rook, and I'm a total noobie. I took a few photos a month or so ago, which led me to start a personal photo project. My smartphone's camera wouldn't cut it, so I decided I wanted a DSLR.

After much research and deliberation, I decided to get a K-r. I'm EXTREMELY happy with my choice! Mine is red, and it came with the 18-55mm DAL kit lens. I also purchased a Takumar 135mm/f2.5 (which is LOADS of fun to use!). Now I'm shopping for a few more lenses to round out my beginner rig.

So, here I am. Reading, learning, and growing. I look forward to beginning this journey. Thank you all, for providing this community, which I will undoubtedly reference often!

Welcome to the forum, at least other Pentax users will be able to spot you and your red K-R.
