Peek a boo all !

Here's another Spotty old man pursuing Takky pleasures - reunited with the loveliest cameras and lenses put together outside the Leica factory.
My first SLR was an EdixaMat which was replaced by a Pentax SV in 1962. A rare black bodied one, and a gem, eventually replaced with a Spotmatic, in turn upgraded to two SPII's. When the K lenses came in I switched to an MX, added to with a brace of LX bodies and lenses ranging from 20mm/f4 K-mount (awful!) to the 400mm f5.6. Favourites were 35mm f2, the A* 85 f1.4 and A* 135 f1.8. These were awesome lenses, although bitingly sharp, they were hard as nails. I got rid of the lot when the second generation Canon dslr's came in six years ago.
WHAT A FOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLL :-( Over the past few months I've been acquiring a collection of screw-mount Spotty bodies, and Super-Takumar and Super-Multi-Coated lenses from wide to short, which I've also been using with extremely good results on an EOS300D body.
I still prefer B&W, and use my Leica M2 with a new Color Skopar 20mm f4 lens. This is tiny and a beauty but can't be used on SLRs and sadly there's no version for Pentax/M42 bodies apparently. None of the Takumar 20mm lenses, either screw or PK, were very good, and the latter compact version was one of the very few dogs from AOC. The 24mm PK was also suspect round the edges and inferior to the earlier S-T screw fits.
I also use the SV for people and action at the moment, relying on my old Sekonic L398 Studio Deluxe meter to check the old snapper's rule of thumb guide for exposure - ask your grandpas what that was!
I'll get around to putting some of my images from the past 50 years on the site - you're warned. Sadly, many of my negs of the early 60's with demos in London, slums in Manchester, rural life in the raw, motor racing et al have disappeared. Some of these were of shots published in the old Pentax mag, daily papers and so forth, so bit of a loss. However we move on . . .
Good Shooting !

Welcome.

I cannot wait to see your photos!
Guess you are old style. Just like Majik_Imaje who is 60 and just have placed some very special photos on this forum.

Welcome Jay.

I think most of us here are way too old to have our dear grandpapa and grandmama still around. Mind you, there are plenty of the NEW generation honouring us with their presence.
