Ordered a K5IIs

New to Pentax and have been reading the forum for the past couple of weeks along with reviews here and elsewhere.

I took the plunge last night and ordered a K5IIs along with the 16-50 f2.8 DA* and the 77 f1.8 FA Limited.

If all works well I will have the gear by Friday evening, if not then early next week.

Looking forward to the adventure!

Dan

I currently shot about 80% film and 20% digital.

Film Cameras include: Rolleiflex f3.5 with Carl Zeiss 75mm Planar (type 4) and Mamiya 7 II, for medium format; Leica M6 TTL and MP for 35mm format.
Digital Cameras include: Panasonic GF1, m4/3 and Leica M9, full frame.

Living in Seattle, I was interested in picking up weather sealed camera and loved the size and the images I have seen produced with the Pentax cameras. A friend has a K7 and produces wonderful images and prints and was enough for me to start looking at Pentax.

. . . . . as luck would have it UPS rang my doorbell!

The journey begins.

Congratulations and Welcome Aboard. The K-5IIs + WR zoom ought to be a great combination while kayaking.

Quite a set up you have, I'll be following your Flickr to see some samples from the new K5 iis. I'm considering the K5 iis + 16-50 DA* myself so I look forward to hearing your impressions. Hope you enjoy it.
