Hello my name is Nic, I'm relatively new to the art of photography. I started out about 3 years ago shooting a k-1000 (have learned a lot) and have recently purchased a k-30 kit with a 18-50mm wr lens and a 55-200mm wr lens, and I also have a couple older lenses that I have been using with the k-30. I enjoy photography, have read a book or two about photography (which has helped me out immensely in understanding some theories of taking pictures). Two big reasons I wanted a dslr: two small children and for wildlife photography (I also enjoy drawing and would like to draw pictures of my own photographs). I'm very outdoorsy and thoroughly enjoy spending time hunting and fishing, but now photography brings forth a new aspect of the two sports for me that is an enjoyable addition to two hobbies I love. I will eventually post some pictures for criticisms and critiques.

Hello Nic and welcome to the Forums. what a jump K-1000 to a K-30 I have both the k-1000 was/is a great learning camera and the K-30 is a blast. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine.
