I'm a new Pentax owner, greetings people!

Hello everybody,

Im a Dutch male, I have Turkish roots and I speak Japanese as well. This is no joke, it just sums up my whole identity in one sentence.
I hope to be getting better at photography in general as I am starting to find my way around the controls more easily last weeks.
I have purchased the Pentax K5 II with a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8. It is a great machine I already can tell. This is my first proper dslr, my previous camera was Canon 1000D, yes I know..

I'm in the process of finding old manual focus lenses to use with my new gear. I still have my dad's old film camera a Chinon CX with a 55mm lens on it.
Hope to catch you all later,

Greetings from the Netherlands, Rotterdam,

Yavuz

Thank you all! I've been using my camera for two weeks now and it is way more intricate than an entry-level camera. But I like to learn.
Just today my newly ordered second hand Pentax 1.7 50mm came in! I am amazed by its size, very petite and fantastic optics.
The weight of the K5II is substantial though, I aimed for a compact camera body, I guess I'll have to carry the weight then
Coming from a light weight Canon 1000D, it is a major change, for the better though. I like the build quality and grip is great. Battery life is fantastic.
Due to the price point in my country, I could choose between a Canon 700D, Nikon 7000D, Sony A65 and the K5II.
Here are some shots I made at home.
Merci, thanks!
