Greetings from Frankfurt

Hi,

I live some 30 km north of Frankfurt in the heart of Germany. I have just upgraded from a K20D (which I still love dearly) to a K5 II S and am still in the process of learning that camera.

I use my cameras to document the frequent trips with my wife, street photography, food photography and I just recently discovered my love for english cathedrals. Taking my younger daughter to her new job in London I took some time to take pictures of Wells Cathedral. I also take portraits for fun and/or money, but I won't photograph weddings (being the cause of a catastrophe some 45 years ago)

I also take part frequently in little photographic contests, the biggest contest beeing that with my abovementioned daughter, all I can say: I wish I had her talent.

Best wishes
Harald

Welcome, Harald. I spent 1965-67 in Bad Sassendorf and Soest somewhat further North of you. NATO service with the Canadian Army. I wonder if I will ever get to visit back there and see the probably enormous changes in the area.

No, it wasn't my own wedding and there was nothing wrong with the wedding, just with the pictures I was supposed to take.

Avec plaisir.......

But do you have a suggestion to scale it to the required size? I tried with GIMP and I lost to much quality.

Try uploading from your PC to an album that you can create in your PF account ... it's what I always do, J (or add as an attachment)

Paint.net is a nice freeware editing tool if you just need to do simple changes to your jpg files.
