new from nashville

long time k1000 user,have new k100d super. I have a few photos posted taken with old m series lens (80-200 f4.5) love k1ood but metering is wierd with m lens, any tips would be great

Welcome to the fora. There are quite a few threads about K and M series exposures, including a couple by me, particularly to do with my M 400/5.6. I found, with my particular K10D and M 400, that only 100% manual exposure works. I also found, by comparing shots with sunny 16, that the K10D will give me a reasonable exposure reading stopped down to f/8. I now interpolate from that. I found that Av, which only works wide open anyway, was not reliable at all.

Once you get the hang of the exposure, you will be happy with most of the old lenses' performance.

thanks for the info. its more accurate to me in manual than in av, have been exposure bracketing to experiment with m lens,starting to get the hang of it.i saw your shots on the gallery very nice!
