From the Philippines!

Hello! I'm Carlo from the Philippines and I'm relatively knew to the Pentax Family. I just bought a K1000 and I just been bit by the Film bug. It's kind of dirty but for the price it was a steal. It was missing a Film Counter cover though.. But it is a piece of history nonetheless.

The great K1000! Hello Carlo and welcome to Pentaxforums. I'm from the Philippines as well, though I am now in "the land down under". What part of the country are you from? I remember back in college shooting with a spotmatic from my stepfather I like it very much. Will be waiting for some pictures from you.

And nice to see Filipinos still using film.

My 90 year old grandfather has, and until recently, used a K1000 which he bought new sometime in the seventies. Some day, but hopefully not to soon, I will inherit this camera and its lenses.
And welcome to the forum, but as I am also new here I don't know if that means anything :P.
