| Newbie considering the K-30 or K-50.
Hello Pentax Lovers! I have been lurking on the forum for a bit and really researched my decision on purchasing the K-30 or K-50. I found an old ME SLR kit with 50mm, macro and Quantaray 70-205mm telezoom for $25. I stopped into Ritz Camer and checked out the K-30 a few weeks ago and have researched it ever since. Now that the K-50 is about to be released I am having a hard way to go with choosing which kit. I originally was considering the K-30 with 18-135 WR which runs about $950-$1100 online vs. store. Now the K-50 is being sold exclusively with WR lens which and runs about the same price as the K-30 online. Any thoughts on helping me make my decision? A friend of mine has asked that we start shooting together so I am itching to make the right decision soon  | |

The K-30 18-135mm kit is $150 cheaper than the same K-50 kit, so I would go for that. Pentax K30 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens Kit (Black) 15635 The two cameras are virtually identical except for the way they look. Still, the K-30 handles just like the K-50 as the underlying frame is the same.
