Seriously

I'm seriously a novice but am seriously interested in learning and improving which is why I joined this forum. I have already learned a lot from you all. I purchased a K5 about 6 months ago. With it I purchased a Tamron 17-50 after watching video on the K5 and lenses. I quickly added to my lens collection buying a Pentax 100mm macro, 55-300mm, 12-24mm and 50mm. I try to get out every weekend by coming up with a destination and photo project. I am gradually improving and learning all I can about photography and the K5.

I envy your drive to come up with a destination or project each weekend. That is a sure fire way to improve rapidly. I recently saw an article about people who did a 365 project (not saying you should do that), and it showcased their first image taken on day 1, and the image they took on day 365. The difference in quality was terrific to see. Keep up that determination. And enjoy all your new glass.
Ps: the collective knowledge in this forum is insane.

First, OP, welcome - your pace almost make me short of breath, and I am really looking forward to see you posting your photography on here.

That's actually not a bad idea, that. I'd probably think of it with an epsilon: pick a singularmtopic. then take pictures interpreting that every day. Pick the best every day, and see your artistic and technical evolution.....
