Hello

Hello All,

I'm a French chemist living in the UK (near Liverpool) and a year ago I bought myself a Q. I only bought it because it was a bargain and had some good reviews, I had no interest in photographie other than taking holiday shots. Obviously things have changed now. I fell in love with my Q, what a fantastic little camera. I have improved a lot my photography skill although still a newbie.

Welcome aboard, sounds like you've fallen victim to be another Q convert.

Hello LouPapy, from a Dane living in France, and welcome.

You're a chemist as in the English sense of the word (= drug dealer, ehh, I mean pharmacist) or in the US (and French) sense of the word?

The Q is a wonderful camera, it really puts the u in Phuntography, doesn't it? Looking very much forward to seeing "the quirks of the british, through the lens of a Frenchman".

Speaking of quirks, have you ever had the occasion to read the book "Watching the English?" It's a priceless guide to understanding the Englishmen better, for example, how else would I have known that "...and, he bought his own furniture" was really a thinly veiled insult

The French sense of the word I'm actually an industrial chemist, I develop coatings. I wish I was the other, I would be richer than..
