Just a quick introduction of myself. I'm not exactly new to photography - I dabbled a bit in still photography several years ago using my father's film SLR camera, but I never invested in my own kit. I just ordered a K30 with the 18-135 WR lens - it should be here late next week.

I'm excited to dive into using it. I've only been poking around this site for a few days, but it seems like a fantastic resource. I'm sure It'll be my go to site for tips and information about the new camera.

Any suggestions on "Must Have" accessories. I'm looking at a Lowepro shoulder bag and of course an extra memory card. Probably the AA battery adapter as well. Eventually I will probably get another lens or two, but I think the kit lens will probably serve my immediate needs quite well.

Welcome to the Forums Justin.
The K-30 is harder on batteries than my *istDL ever was. I would definitely get an extra battery or the adapter. I chose the adapter. I am glad I did.
