Welcome! This is a great place to learn about photography. Looking forward to seeing you work.

I recommend the book Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson if you do not know the photographic triangle yet. Very easy read that will have you shooting in manual in no time.

Just remember, I'm living proof that even after the first 10000 photos, it's still possible to take utterly bad photos

Welcome, and enjoy.

Welcome!

There's a lot of resources on the internet, too. I've been reading up all I can and just shooting pictures. It's the best way to learn.

At the moment pentax seem to be the best choice. Explored different options and talked to different individuals with nikons and canon. And everyone never mentioned pentax...so I took a look and tried out each model from pentax to nikon to canon to sony and etc. The pentax kr, I felt was more user friendly for me and felt better in my hands. In addition, I was told that it really depends on the lens than the body of the camera...not sure if thats true lol

But here I am with my pentax kr...plus its white which everyone loves the over dramatic color choice other than black lol
