My Photography Interests

I do not own any Pentax Digital Cameras but I do own a number of Pentax Film SLRs like several permutations pf the Spotmatic, multiple K1000s, ME and ME Super. Quite a few lenses of various focal lengths, both M42 and K mount. To round out my film camera collection I have several Canon EOS SLR models and an extensive collection of Canon Lenses. I also have one Minolta Film SLR. From this you can see that my interest in this forum is general photography and Asahi Pentax film cameras and manual focus lenses. I bought my first Pentax Spotmatic in 1964 along with the Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4, 35mm f/3.5 and 135mm f/3.5.

I do own an 18 Mpixel DSLR and a 14 Mpixel Digital Bridge, both by Canon

Hey, there's no shame in that. I used a Canon bridge for years before getting into Pentax DSLR's. 5 megapickels, baby. You have seniority on me for sure, though, as I bought my first Pentax in 2011.

I do like using old manual lenses, though, especially Russian ones. Tons of fun.

Welcome, Mark
All my life I used only Pentax and Ricoh K mount.
But I was just given among other things, a Canon A-1 with its set of FD lenses.
Big and heavy compared to Pentax, but a beautiful metal camera and lenses, and so far I have half a roll thru it using its Av mode for family shots.
