Ni-Hao from China

Hello, everyone.

I am a pentax user from Guangzhou, China. My current camera is Pentax K30. I love vintage M42 lenses very much, and I have collected some. Although some of the old lenses are not so sharp, but they usually have great bokeh. Meanwhile, manual focusing feels great. Anyway, I love this forum. I am always looking forward to some great discussions on photographic techniques and I am sure this forum is what I need.

Welcome to the forums! I also just bought a K-30 (a months ago) and it is a excellent piece of machinery!

Hi Ni-Hao,
welcome. I have been collecting some Soviet M42 lenses and getting nice results but bear in mind they aren't quite as punchy in terms of contrast as modern lenses, Obviously you can boost the contrast in software and this may help the images look a bit sharper too

Hope to see some pictures from your part of China.
Atm a Beijing ren but will move back to Sweden soon.
I feel lucky to be able to live in China and take a lot of picture of a fast changing Beijing.

Welcome to the forum, manual older glass can be a bit trickier to focus.
