A big hello and greetings to all at PF,

I have been a long time fan of Nikon since I have started shooting. After the death of my Nikon bodies. I have decided to make a jump to a pentax K30 two months back.

I do mainly astrophotography as well as wildlife photography.

Hi Dave, and welcome to the Forums.

That's a nice portfolio you've got on Flickr. How are you finding the K30? I've a friend with one, and she loves it, but I've only very limited experience with that model.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your compliments!

The K30 have been a truly amazing camera and I love it too! Great for the outdoor shooting sessions!

With an O-GPS unit the k30 tracks stars very well when doing widefield astrophotograhy the noise level seems to be low even when using it at a higher ISO.
