Hello from Munich (with K-01)

Hello Pentaxians,

just recently I got myself a K-01 - because prices have dropped so ridicoulously, it was a no brainer.
Until recently I was shooting mainly with an Olympus E-520 but was not so happy about its ability in low light conditions.
When I was searching for an update I was drawn to the K-5 (II) but that was out of reach financially at the moment. In the German Pentax Forum I learnd about the existence of the K-01 and immediatly fell in love with that fellow. The sensor is the same as the one in the K-5 and works really well in low light conditions.

I still have tons to learn to produce nice and interesting shoots and I guess, I came to the right place. I plan to optain a good lens every now and then, whne I feel I need it (like the old primes - at the moment I have a chinon 50mm 1:1.4 mounted).

Cheers
Christof

You can have lots of fun with a manual 50mm f/1.4 on the K-01... enjoy!

Theese are shots of last weeks visit to a fairground next to a beergarden in Munich.
It was dark already and all the light comes from the fairground attractions themselves.
They are out of cam jpgs without - not even cropped. I had the superb 40mm kit lens on.

See them in my album.

Had you been to that beer garden next door, before you attempted to post the pictures here?
