Introducing Myself

I'm a strictly amateur 30-year Pentax user. Bought my first Pentax--an ME-Super--for a grad school photography class in 1982. Used it for the next 10-15 yrs. for a combination of art history research and teaching purposes, and home hobbyist photos. Eventually bought a Pentax film point-&-shoot for snapshots. Replaced that in 2003 with an Optio S40 that's been largely supplanted by my smartphone's camera. In 2009, bought myself a DSLR--a K-x--for Xmas. Best present I've ever given myself!

Welcome aboard, anyone with 30 years experience of Pentax can be a most valuable asset here, as long as you have a good memory.

So that kinda rules me out.

What are the odds... my first camera was the ME Super and I too bought myself a K-x (DSLR) for Xmas (two years ago). I also own a ZX-M. I recently had my ME Super restored and it lives on and I still love it.

H everyone, After starting my photography as a hobby with Benq 1.3 MP 10 years ago, upgraded to the Sony H2 "still have it", and now i bought myself the pentax K-X as the new job present to myself. It is my first DSLR. I'm reading this website Free Digital Photography Courses, Photography Lessons, and Tutorials and this great forum as well to get to know about DSLR photography. Also I bought a Sigma 28-200 aspherical zoom lens and a Pentax 50mm f1.7 manual lenses for my k-x. I love my set...
