New K-5ii + 18-135 Owner

Thought I'd answer the invite and introduce myself. My kids are grown and my last camera, a Minolta Maxxum 7000 film camera bought to take photos of them growing up was collecting dust. Then, my daughter and her husband had a baby, and I was suddenly taking photos of my first grandson with my cell phone and not pleased with the results. Being a researcher by trade I spent countless hours combing the internet and camera shops before deciding to buy a K-5 from Adorama. But when I found a like new used, two month old K-5ii with an 18-135 mm lens bought from B&H Photo I pulled the trigger.

I could not be happier with my camera. I am on the hunt for a used 35 mm prime lens so I check this website weekly. I consider the advice, comments and reviews on this website priceless gems and my first stop for answers.

I ordered the same combination (K5 II + 18-135mm WR) last week and do hope to get it on Monday, August 5, 2013.

Welcome! Excellent kit you've got yourself. Adding a 35mm sounds like a good idea for catching grandkids
