New to the forum, and quite pleased!

Hey there everyone,
I am new to the forum, but have been watching the dialogue between members for sometime. You guys always offer great advice, and so it made my decision to buy the KII a no brainer.
I bought the K5II after having used a Fuji s100fs bridge for several years and cannot say that I regret it, just the opposite. I am in love, once more.
I do have a query I really hope someone will be able to help me with, I am wondering if the Rokinon MC 24mm lens will be compatible with the K5II, I have seen lenses under the rokinon, Samyang brand that carry the prefix UMC and I wonder if there is a difference in the build that will prevent this lens from mating with the camera.
I look forward to contributing in the near future and any advice will certainly be well appreciated!

Welcome to the forum, I'm sorry I'm not clever or knowledgeable enough to comment about the Rokinon, I'm sure someone will be along shortly with the answer.

Welcome to the forum. In answer to your question, Rokinon lenses are made with different mounts. The 24mm you mentioned is available for Sony, Canon, Nikon and Pentax cameras, but you would just need to make sure you get it in a k mount.

As Rondec says, be sure to get that Rokinon with a Pentax K mount and all should be well.

MC and UMC stand for "Multi Coated" and "Ultra Multi Coated" respectively, and makes no difference for which camera the lens fits on.
