Newbie from Australia with K-X

Hi, I think the title says it all. I am a student on tight budget hahahaha, people say Pentax is expensive. But I have bought A k-x with 18-55 kit lens secondhand, willing to learn photography. Here I think I can get some useful knowledge as well as good lens to buy. Thanks to everyone.

Welcome aboard. Keep an eye on the used market for bargains.
Pentax has some great value lenses like the DA 35mm (not the limited lens) which are really fun for walkaround.

Welcome, there's plenty of really good older Pentax glass out there, that can be acquired very reasonably and still give first class results.

hahahahaha that's the hope I have been lost for last few days learning about lens mount and types It seems that it needs another PhD to absorb this field, and I now have a respect for people who are skilled in this hahaha. I was trying to buy lens in ebay like a complete ignorant. I need to buy something not-that-much-exclusive-but-clean-ok prime lens under 100, but today I even dared to put 320 as a last moment bid for a 28mm 2.8 limited one, thanks God someone outbid me at the last second after the bidding fever healed, I understood that I am saved otherwise I had to take a loan from someone and don't want to do that now

However, now trying to read more and more and let's see where it will go. Thank you very much for your encouragement...
