Greetings from Ireland

Hello everyone.

I am the proud owner of a k5II s recently purchased, and i must say that although i wasn't registered at the time i bought it, this site has helped my a great deal in the choice for the camera . I am passionate about photography since i was a little boy and i bought my first cheap point and shoot film camera.
I have used a OM 1 which i still have and a e-410 more recently .
About 4 years ago i read an article in a photo magazine about pentax K10. I knew immediately that i want one , but since i couldn't afford it at the time i got the e-410. Things have improved and now i have the k5IIs .
I guess i want to say thanks to everyone in helping me finally decide on the k5IIs, and i hope i will find help in getting some lenses for it. At the moment i am using a smc 18-55mm Al WR .

Welcome! Congrats on a good choice

With regards to lenses I'd recommend using the 18-55 for a while and see what it can or can't do for you. Other people can recommend lenses all day, but only you know your needs.

When you have identified situations where you feel the kit lens is restricting you it may be time for acquiring a new lens or two. Or more
