Manchester says hello

Hi Peeps

I've been perusing this forum for information on my Pentax 35mm ebay purchases so i though i best join as its a mine of information. I last shot film in about 1992 prior to that i was really serious about it in the 80's but all i could afford was a Practica TTL and then i moved onto a couple of Chinon's. I did buy a Yashica 124G which i still have and love but that didn't see any film or light for about 20yrs.

The missus took my old cameras to the charity shop and as i was clearing out my shed I found my Yashica TLR and some out of date and undeveloped B&W film, since then the Yashica lens has been cleaned up (instructions via the internet). The films have been developed by me in the kitchen and some of the out of 30yrs date film used and yes i got some images from them........

I have purchased a whole bundle of Pentax models, why because they were cheap but I just love the feel of the SF7/SFXn in the hand. I do have some canon a-1's but they wont be getting much use now.

My prosumer digital cameras won't be getting much use now I'm afraid as the bug has taken hold.

I have thousands of negatives which i took in the 80's of pop/soul/jazz acts at concerts Sade at Fagins (the week before she charted with Your Love is King) , Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers at Band on The Wall, Gil Scot Heron, Sting, Kid Creole and the Coconuts.............

I picked up a photo scanner at a charity shop the will scam medium format, so I'm up and running........

Anyway that's enough of me.

Welcome aboard, please post some of best of those negs, as there are people here of, how shall we say... of certain age that will remember those times too.
