I'm mainly a hobbyist but operate frequently as a photographer as well. Mostly I've been asked for: modeling, events (like marriages / celebrations) and advertisements. Besides these topics, architecture and landscapes are topics of my interest too. At this moment I'm taking my shots with the K-7, sometimes using my "old" K-10. When I started to take photographing serious I have always used analogue Pentax cameras. Except Australia and Africa, my shots are taken on every continent. Maybe the following is an old-fashioned point of view; but using editing software is out of the question for me; "a bad shot is a bad shot". If I'm forced to use Aperture or Photoshop then I don't feel that I'm in control of my camera. I only let my camera operate with the M-, B- and X-modes and skip the other Exposure Modes of a DSLR.

Welcome, and thanks for the intro! You should definitely visit Africa if you want breathtaking landscapes. And interesting architecture for that matter.

I think you can start a lot of arguments over your "no processing" views, though

Welcome to the forum, your certainly covering a broad spectrum with your photography there.

PP is not always about correcting "bad" images, but more about enhancing the good ones.

I want to thank all of you for your replies. About
- Africa; just 1 day before I should take off to my starting point Egypt, things went so bad there that the whole event was annulled;
- no processing: I'm questioning my own view from time to time.
- photo posts: I'm modifying right now all my back-ups on the external disks and after ending this process I will post some material.
