Hi, Think I migth like it here.

Seems like a very nice place to come and talk to other Pentax owners, hope I can help a few people and also learn a new trick or two.
Brisbane Australia is home, lived here all my life and taken many many photos of all sorts of things. I have lets say a LARGE collection
(too large according my wife) of Vivitar Series 1 lenses and 3 Pentax bodys digital and film.I love my K-7 use it whenever I can, just getting
into macro a bit more still a steap learning curve.

Welcome!

Hello Dagsberry, welcome to the Forum!
Say, one of those Series 1 Viv's wouldn't happen to be a Bokina, would it? I managed to acquire a near-mint copy of the Series 1 90mm f/2.5 VMC with matching PK 1:1 adapter about 2 years ago, been enjoying it with a K10D and K-7 ever since.
But you're right, macro has a long (and for me, anyway) slow learning curve. Just when I think I've got a bit of it, there's another lesson or tip that comes along and we're off again!
Anyway, enjoy your time here, hope to see some photos from you soon.
Ron

Welcome aboard, this is not an exclusive club, there are many members here already in it with respective wives thinking similar.

Thanks

Thanks for all your warm welcomes, Ron that's about the only Series 1 lens I don't have yet, that and the 800mm solid cat but I'm working on it.
I will post some photos soon, very busy at work at present thats why i'm posting 1:35 AM. Glad to see there are lots of Aussies here.
I started when my lovely wife bought a Ricoh XR-2S for my 21st birthday, still have it and it works flawlessly.
