Greetings from NE

Hi, I'm Michelle and I live in Lincoln, NE with my fellow Pentaxian husband (Ashurbanipal on the forum). He is responsible for me learning more about photography and taking photo classes with me. Typically, I use the hand-me-down cameras after he decides (and I *allow* him) to upgrade to a different model. With my love of photography, he doesn't have to say much to convince me though. While the new features and capabilities are nice on newer models, I find myself just happy to have an awesome Pentax camera with the lenses that we share. I still have a lot to learn about photography and the types of pictures I want to make so I am very happy for this forum.

I began with a Pentax Optio P80 point and shoot which is a fun camera and then made the jump to the K-2000 and now I am having fun with the K-X. I will someday own a yellow Pentax, model to be determined. I love how compact the cameras are while not compromising on features. This is probably why, after all my husband's research, we use Pentax cameras. I look forward to not being a lurker any more and learning more on this forum to improve my photos.

Always good to see one more coming out from the shadows

And yes, new cameras are always nice, but there's so much more to photography than having the latest and greates. Good luck on your photographic journey - learning is really part of the fun!

Welcome aboard, so we're saying it's all his fault then.

But it's handy when it comes to lens sharing right...

P.S. I see also your collecting family likes.
