Hello New K5IIs owner

My name is Geoff and I have been taking photos on Pentax equipment since I bought my K1000 (circa 1977). I live in the lower mainland of British Columbia, CANADA. The k1000 I used on a hike down the west coast trail, a trip to the Yucatan Peninsula and Belize.

Next I bought a LX (1985), that camera I used on hikes into the alpine, cross country skiing, another trip to Belize, commercial work, and I still use it occasionally.

I use a Coolpix L18 for snap shots of my hobby work - renovating the family cabin. I post them on a personal blog.

Last year I decided to get back into photography again so I bought a K01 as a test platform. After a year I decided I would get the K5IIs because I am still trying to get a digital version of the LX. I think I will have to use both the K01 and the K5IIs to do that, I will see.

Welcome to the forum, if you find a digital LX let me know, I'd buy a couple of those for sure.

Welcome aboard, and thanks for the intro! A K-5 with the viewfinder of an LX, now that would have been something! Impossible, but still...
