Hi from Seattle

I've been shooting film seriously for about four or five years now-- rangefinders from the 1950s through 1970s (Aires, Konicas, Yashicas, Canonets), to SLRs from the 1970s and 1980s (Konica AR, Olympus OM, Nikkormats, and of course Pentax) to scale focusing and P&S finds from the 1980s and 1990s (Oly XAs, XA2s, Infinity Stylus, etc.)

I recently made my first DSLR purchase, a secondhand K-5 and18-55 kit lens from KEH. (I mainly chose Pentax because I already have some nice legacy lenses onhand to use with the K-5.) Now I'm learning the digital workflow, how to think and see in color, and where to go from here.

Welcome aboard! A noble history there The vintage glass can be reason enough on its own to get a Pentax.

Working on the workflow...

Here's an early attempt, with an early K-mount 50mm F1.4. I was shaking down my new system before a trip to Spain....

Welcome from down in Oz. Business occasionally takes me to Seattle. Lovely city - the smoked salmon on the harbor edge near the Pike St market is a treat.
