I have been a new Pentax K-30 owner for a couple months and I am very satisfied.

The last time that I used an SLR camera was almost 30 years ago with a Minolta, but don't remember the model. After 2-3 months of research on Pentax, Nikon, and Canon, I finally settled on Pentax K-30 with two main reasons. (1) the ability to use the old lens and (2) WR feature. (I am a bit disappointed at IQ of the kit lens, but I am comparing it to that of a prime lens so it may not be a fair comparison.
I am very happy with IQ of Pentax-M 50mm F1.7 on my K-30. It was a no-brainier to go with this lens, but I am still working on a zoom lens to replace the kit lens.
I learned a lot about Pentax and lenses from this site. I really appreciate everyone contributing and participating to this site.

Welcome aboard, aye your right enough that there is a huge amount of good knowledge around here, I just wish some of it were mine.
