Hey Julie, thanks for the welcome! There was no "extra" deal when I bought mine but similarly, the salesman didn't know about the sale... weird.

I'm new to the forum, too.

I bought my batteries at Costco - talk about a deal!

A Sanyo charger with 4 2500 NiMH AA batteries was under $26 Canadian. A second package consisting of six AA batteries and 2 AAA was under $16.

So far I've taken over two hundred photographs with my new K100D and the battery meter still reads full.

HAha so many Torontonians here! :P

Eww don't go to Radioshack. I got the Energizer charger + 4 NiMH 2500mAH for just a little over $30CAN at WalMart. The four packs are pretty decent at $15-16.

Hi all, another K100D user from Toronto. Bought my K100D last November and it's my first DSLR. I am loving the camera so far except I am still not very comfortable with the battery performance. Trying to convince myself it's the batteries. I guess I haven't been using the camera enough to fully test it out. Thanks to Pentax Canada we have 2 year warranty here so I have lots of time!

See you soon in other threads!

Tim's - they are HUGE! Mississauga and Hamilton's probably got bragging rights of having at least one store within walking distance of every major intersection.

The only big intersection I think they missed was Hwy 10 and Queensway...oh wait, they have one in the hospital there!
