Greetings; As a Student in the 1970's i used a Pentax Spotmatic SLR camera with a variety of interchangable lenses. My favourite were the 135mm, and Macro lens. I had reasonable success in Photographic Club competitions and International Salons, where i learned a lot. I shot closeups of flies and flowers as well as long shots of mountains and landscapes. Loved the moving and ever changing seascapes, spray and waves.
Lately (June 2013) i have had the opportunity to revisit my passion, with the purchase of the Pentax K-30 combo kit with the 18-135mm zoom lens. a wonderful combination.

In case you aren't aware of it--w/ a pentax K mount adapter (strongly suggest you not use 3rd party ones)--the lenses from the spotmatic (screw mount M42) will work just fine on the K30. When I started w/ K20d--my 3 lenses were from my spotmatics--and after several months I then began to purchase newer (used K mount) lenses.
