I am in Guyana and trying to get back into SLR photography after years withal point and shoot. Been lurking for awhile and found the site to be very useful so decided to become a member. I used ( and still own though winding mechanism is defective) a Pentax P3N. I have decided to get a K-30 but am still researching which zoom to buy. Though I have done a photography course I am still really a rank Newby.

Welcome from Iowa. The question isn't which zoom to buy but how many?

First you buy the camera, then a lens, then two, three, four and the next thing you know your in meetings with full blown LBA. But then you realize it's ok, and lenses are the friends who will never leave us!!
