Greetings from NJ

Just found this forum while I was researching my first serious digital camera purchase.

To date, I have only used a low cost point and shoot digital. For any serious work, I still rely on my trusty MX that I purchased 30 years ago.

It’s pretty clear to me that I should “stay with the family” so to speak and go for one of the new Pentax DSLRs. Apparently, I missed the boat with the closeouts for the K10D, at least from the dependable dealers. The K20D is a little out of my range at the moment, so I have been eyeing up the K200D.

Anyhoo, I have lots of questions that I will post in the appropriate forums.

I still have my MX from the old days, too.

In my short time here I have already learned a lot about these new DSLR things

I just stopped at my local and they still have k100d kits (not super) for $499. That option would let me justify a k20d in a year or so.

Can't wait till I make this decision, I am driving the wife crazy.
