Greetings all -

I've had a Penax Optio S60 for years and have been successfully downloading photos onto my PC.

Now when I connect the camera to the PC and turn it on, rather than the window popping up offering to use Explorer to view contents, the camera turns on and is ready to take photos (the lens comes out) - and no window to use to look at photos.

I tried reinstalling ACDSEE to no avail - it appears the PC is not recognizing the device. Tried on a different computer, same results.

Any ideas?

Welcome from Iowa! Sounds like either a short in the cord or an issue with the connector on the camera. Does that model have an SD card? If so buy a cheap reader and download the photos that way. Or use this issue to upgrade!
