Welcome from Iowa! k-50 looks like a fantastic camera, and I hope Pentax sells the snot out of them!! Now comes the fun (at least for me) older lenses!! You can go name brand, off brand, no brand. one of my favorites, an old sigma cost me $8 U.S. Score!! Enjoy that weather sealed photo machine!!

Actually canceled order and got a K30 18-135mm WR kit for $100 less haha.

About to purchase a used DA-L 55-300mm for $160 (was tempted to buy a Sigma 70-300mm OS because I heard lens OS is better than sensor IS at 300mm but all the reviews I read said the DA-L was mush better IQ...thoughts?)
And looking for a:
M 50mm f1.7
M 28mm f3.5

Re- bonjour,

You cannot go wrong with a M 50/1.7 ... a great lens, period. Use mine often ... I do not know about the M 28/3.5, because I use my SMC and Super Takumars here ... still it should be very good, IMHO ... Salut, J
