Hello from upstate NY

I have been using Pentax for about 5 years now having found a Pentax k100d Super. I have been enjoying it and came to the forum trying to get a sense for the direction Pentax has been going lately. I am a rank amateur and have only a kit lens, a Quantaray 70-300mm, a Kiron 80-200mm, a Gemini 28mm and a DA 35mm F2.4. Thanks for such a great forum it has been a huge help in my quest to learn more about photography.

Hello vimbuza, Welcome to the forum!
You're joining at a good time, with the release of the K-3, there's several K-5's, K-5II and K-5IIs bodies being sold, along with other older cameras.
If you're looking to upgrade, the bargains are available.
I started digital with a K110D and a couple zooms, but also had some manual lenses from the film days. It served me well and my sister still uses it.
Post some photos soon!

Sorry, I just now realized how long it has been since I actually joined. My first dslr was an Olympus e300? It was the square boxy one. It had a really nice kit lens and the images taken outside were always really good, but I moved to aps-c type camera because I was looking for better low light because I hate the way my flash pictures were coming out.

Whereabouts are you? I'm in Corinth. About 15 min north of Saratoga.
