K30 on the way....

New Pentax user with a K30 on the way. After doing a ton of research, I stumbled on these forums and was swayed by the reviews and community here. I caught a break and had a nice chunk of bonus points build up at work and found a good deal on the k30 18-135mm kit. I'm yet-another-midwest-US forum member (in Omaha).

The 18-135WR is a great first lens. Enjoy your new toys!

Great camera. I had a K-x for 4 years, and it was excellent, except for a few minuses. The K-30 has no minuses, as far as I'm concerned. Welcome to the forums, and show us many pics taken with your Pentax dslr!

Welcome from a fellow midwesterner!

The K-30 and 18-135 just in time for winter! Have fun, I'm much more likely to take the camera out now that I bought the 18-135 myself last year.

I think the worst part is checking Tracking on it every couple of hours...

Anyway - thanks for the kind words...

I almost went with the K-30, but found a deal on a new K-5. So I went with that! Welcome!
