Another NZer

Hi All

another New Zealand Pentaxian. Been using Pentax for about 25 years now and had perhaps my favourite lens the FA100 macro for most of that time. I am a biologist and work on lilttle things often, so the macro lens is the most frequently on the body which is now a K5II - bought just before the K3 announcement. Also just bought a 60-250 which I am loving.

Of interest, do the Macro shooters out there find the D 100 macro better than the old FA version I have? Having the WR would be nice I guess.

Alastair

Hi Alastair
Welcome! I've not used either lens you have, but I like to shoot macro too. I do find the WR kit lens useful for shooting sport in the rain. I do like my old manual lenses and that's the key with the K-mount, not so!
No doubt, you'll find the page where all the Kiwi's hang out: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/43-gatherings-photo-trips-groups/41021-ki...ml#post2584287
Kind regards,
Mark

Welcome from Iowa! From what I've seen(on tv) New Zealand looks like a Biologists playground! Bet you have plenty of photo opportunities.
