Ginger looks like a sweetheart. You should check out the "Your Pet A Day" thread.

So... are you pleased with your "extravagant" purchase then?

Oh, yes. Definitely. I won't get to play with it much this week because I'm on a marathon of 6 12hr nights in a row. (I'm a nurse.) I hope to get to play more with it at Thanksgiving. I think it'll do exactly what I want. Which is to force me to usemanual controls a bit more and really learn more aabout my camera.

Remember all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, or in you case Jackie a dull girl.

I got through my marathon without any negative repercussions. (I'm always worried that fatigue may cause a terrible error with consequences for a patient.) Tuesday night was quite busy, which is EXACTLY what I needed. Being the last night of my marathon, I would have been nodding if it had been a silent night. Instead, I got one kiddo with dehydration, one with an eye injury, a new cancer diagnosis & a baby who kept trying to chew on his iv, until he successfully jacked it up & got himself one in his foot instead! I didn't even sit down until about 1am, much less eat lunch.

Night shift, and in the ER? I feel for you. Hopefully you're getting some much deserved rest.

Ah. Sorry for the assumption. All that drama sounded like ER. LOL. My job almost sounds boring compared to yours. I'm a pediatric home health nurse. It can get kinda crazy in the home, but nothing like a hospital.
