Sodapop here! I'm happy to be a part of the community.

I got a hold of a K30 a few months back -- being my gateway into photography -- and I've been taking in all literature I can fathom ever since. I've purchased a few additional lenses outside of the kit, my favorite being the M 50mm/1.7 because its sharp and does relatively well in low light for something so inexpensive. Not to mention the bokeh.

Welcome fellow Midwest Pentaxian! I was born and raised in Michigan, but have some family in MN. Hope it's warmer there than it is here!
Just received my first K-50 today and am eager to dive in. I plan on getting lenses as needed, so thanks for the recommendation on the M 50mm/1.7.
