long reach

hi, new here i want a telephoto but i can't decide between Pentax, Sigma and Tamron lens. I had the 18-135 kit lens but sold it with some regret cause i prefer prime lens. Should i stick with prime and go with the 200mm f/2.8 or look for a more versatile zoom lens?

thank you

The 60-250mm F4 is an amazing lens. I can also recommend the DA* 300mm F4, but honestly the convenience of the zoom is well worth it with this particular lens.

Welcome from Iowa! What Adam said! Also a long zoom is quite practical! I got an old 60-300 sears and a 100-300 smc-f. The Pentax is better and has AF,but I like the old sears anyway. It's a big old chunk of metal!

Welcome to the forum, I'm the wrong guy to ask cos I only use primes, which fill my needs perfectly.
