Hi everyone on Pentax Forums!

I am Jérôme and a Masterstudent in Journalism. I have finished a Master in interpretation last year with French and English as working languages.
Not only am I very interested in making, listening en experiencing music, I am also interested in photography.

In June this year, I have purchased a package via a second hand online website.
The leather case contained

• a Pentax K1000, a SMC Pentax-M f2 50mm,
• a Petri MC f2.8 28mm
• a Petri MC f2.8 135mm
• a Tamron SP BBAR MC mc teleconverter 2x 01f
• a Tamron SP f25 90mm
• a Cozo Polarizer 49mm
• a Cozo UV 49mm

It also contained two lens cases, 2 filter cases and a cable release.


I would like to experiment with the different lenses, with different types of films, with different types of filters,... Anyway, this forum has all the necessary information concerning the Pentax k1000 and I am looking forward to learn much from it!

welcome from Iowa! Nice setup you got. You'll fit right in here. The forum has section for film. Plus if you ever get the urge to go digital, you can still use all those nice lenses!

It was a cheap second hand deal! Truly amazing.

Can you give me more info on using these lenses on a DSLR?

I don't own one yet, so if you can redirect me to a thread then I would be very thankful.

Hello all,

I came back with an update!
Since a while now I am using a Pentax k-50 but I still have to get more experience using the manual lenses which I initially mentionned in this thread.

Glad to be back!
