Hi, nice to meet you all

I'm rediscovering photography after a break of twenty years. My first shots were taken with my mum's spotmatic II and the takumar 1.4 it came with, and I fell completely in love with the practice.
Later I got my own Pentax p30 and used to dabble in rock music photography and used to submit my pics to local music rags. That was great for a teenager but not a sustainable life for me so I put the camera away for far too long. Cut to now and I want to take pictures again! Good ones not just phone snaps. I'll be borrowing a dslr body with a kit lens for the time being and am looking forward to pairing the crop sensor with the old 1.4, it's impossible to take a bad photo with that little beauty. I'm much more into taking landscapes portraits and still lifes these days. And the odd short film. I've been drawn to the forum by all the amazing shots you guys have posted and all the shared love of Pentax glass. Look forward to meeting you all.

There is a sub forum for Takumar lenses you might like. In joy your new kindled love of photography.
