Switching cameras, already impressed...

New to Pentax, I've been a Sony Alpha user for years, and still the lover of my Fuji x100s. I love Alphas, but the latest APS-C (A77) wasn't doing it for me at all, and FF is still a bit out of my budget. I purchased the K-3 to try out, and so far am thoroughly enjoying the experience...except that the zoom ring on lenses turns the opposite way.

Welcome from Iowa! Looks like you picked a winner of a camera!!! Have some real fun, take it out in the rain!! As long as the lens is WR no problem!!
also a whole new world of legacy glass is there for the taking! Good cheap optics!! let the LBA begin!

Welcome to the forum.

I have one legacy lens that focus in the opposite direction. It is amazing the things we take for granted.

Welcome to the forum

Welcome to the Forum. Great to have the K-3, a little envy here for the K-3, but at least I held one in my hands today. Hope you send us some images!

Welcome to the forum and Pentax cameras. i have also used Fuji cameras and liked them but I always return to Pentax. Probably a combination of familiarity, history and, especially, this forum. There just seems to be good, polite and helpful discussion all over Pentaxforums. Hope you are able to make good use of it too.

Here are a few photos taken with my K-3 the other morning, they're a bit long in the tooth.
