New too pentax

Hey I am actually new to Pentax. I have a friend who uses Pentax and they are turning me from Nikon towards Pentax due to the quality, price and how majority of their products can use virtually any of the lens they have ever made. I hope to purchase my first Pentax camera here soon.

I'm looking at some older Pentax for now and to buy some good glass to use later possibly on a k5 or k3. Truly excited to join this community!

Welcome, well that's at least two Pentax users now in your neighbourhood.

Welcome to the friendly Pentax fold!

There was a thread addressing that very question awhile back:

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/58-pentax-beginners-corner-q/236912-new-p...ra-set-up.html

And as kerrowdown has noted, you can trust the reviews on this forum for a pretty good and honest assessment of each model's strengths and weaknesses.

Have fun!
